A sculpture with an elephant made by Swiss artist Rolf Knie for the 1996 edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival is pictured in Caux near Montreux December 8, 2010.  More than 5,000 hours of video footage and the same amount of sound of the Montreux Jazz Festival and artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Phil Collins and David Bowie will be saved and immortalised by the launch of the Montreux Sounds Digital Project. The current archive, which consists of 10,000 magnetic storage medias weighing 60 tons, is stored on 600 metres of shelving.
